Refugee Paralympic Team International
Paralympic Committee
HL BaSE advised the International
Paralympic Committee (IPC) in relation
to the Refugee Paralympic Team
participating in the 2024 Paris Games.
This collaboration underscores the
firm’s commitment to fostering
inclusivity and supporting the incredible
resilience of refugee athletes.
This was the largest-ever Refugee
Paralympic Team, comprising eight
athletes and one guide runner, who
competed in six sports at the Paris
Games: Para athletics, Para powerlifting,
Para table tennis, Para taekwondo,
Para triathlon, and wheelchair fencing.
Representing more than 120 million
forcibly displaced people worldwide,
these athletes competed under the IPC
flag and were the first to enter the
Opening Ceremony on 28 August 2024.
