Giraffe Conservation
Foundation
Giraffe Conservation Foundation is an
international science-based conservation
organisation providing innovative
approaches to saving giraffes across
Africa. Giraffe populations have declined
significantly over the past few decades,
and in the last 300 years, giraffes have lost
90% of their habitat in the wild. GCF’s
primary objective is to raise awareness
and secure a future for giraffes and
conserve their habitat.
GCF supports giraffe conservation
initiatives across 21 African countries,
and its work has had an impact on over
100 million acres of giraffe habitat. HL
BaSE provided corporate and governance
advice from the Frankfurt office.
“Receiving legal advice is often something
that NGOs do not consider in their budgets,
so for a relatively small organisation
like GCF, it is an invaluable asset to
have a legal team on standby to ask for
advice on corporate, organisational and
contractual questions that we would
otherwise have to figure out ourselves.”
