APNOR
APNOR is a refugee-led network of
refugee-led initiatives operating in the
APAC region, working with and for
refugees to advocate for refugee agency
and self-representation. HL BaSE
assisted in Hong Kong and Australia
with the review of a set of policies and
agreements as part of its project to
create a Pooled Fund for refugee-led
organisations and initiatives, which
would provide direct funding by way
of grants.
“The support we have received from
Hogan Lovells has been invaluable in
furthering our mission to empower
refugees and refugee-led organizations
across the Asia Pacific region. Their
pro bono expertise in reviewing and
creating documentation and policies
related to grant administration and
management helped us establish a
sustainable and transparent Pooled
Fund grounded in a strong legal
foundation. We are grateful for Hogan
Lovells’ commitment to our work, as they
have played a key role in strengthening
our ability to directly support refugees
and displaced communities. This
partnership is a reflection of how pro
bono legal expertise can drive meaningful,
real impacts in advancing agency
and self-determination.”
