making China the largest carbon emitter by far.

Saudi Arabia, despite its reputation for its rapid
modernization and cutting-edge technologies, has
the highest CO2 emissions and one of the highest
energy consumption per capita as it continues to
rely heavily on oil. The Kingdom’s CO₂ emissions
